Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in building and developing a team, driving new business, managing and nurturing customer relationships, and expanding our customer base within the 3PL industry. This role is ideal for an experienced sales leader with a strong background in logistics and a passion for delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the inside sales team to achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and KPIs.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to identify, prospect, and acquire new clients within the 3PL industry.
- Help build, optimize, and manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track sales pipelines, client interactions, and performance metrics.
- Design and implement lead generation processes, including identifying target markets and leveraging technology for prospecting and outreach.
- Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to inside sales representatives.
- Analyze sales performance data and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth implementation of logistics solutions for new and existing customers.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in inside sales or business development within the 3PL, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead generation tools.
- Proven track record of sales success, including meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sales team.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- An aptitude for technology and experience using it!
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Ability to understand and explain complex logistics solutions to clients.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
